In today’s digital learning environment, Google Sites has become essential for creating a digital space for creating, organizing and collaborating. Whether used as a portfolio or hub for teacher resources, Google Sites is user friendly and is a powerful tool to transform learning. This post will explore how it works and how you can use it effectively in your classroom.
What is Google Sites?

Google Sites is an easy to use website creation tool that gives creative access to everyone through Google Workspace.
Layouts and themes are customizable with drag and drop features to easily create your design. Google Sites allows real time collaboration with others and integrates with other Google tools such as; Docs, Slides, Forms, Sheets, and YouTube.
Why Use It in Education?
Google Sites supports teachers and students in many different ways. Using this type of technology will enhance digital literacy, organization, and allows for ownership of student learning.
For Teachers
Google Sites can be used as a communication tool for students and families. Create a classroom hub to share with students to access assignments and post announcements. Collaborate with colleagues by sharing lesson plans, and organize digital materials.
I use Google Sites to give parents access to newsletters and other information that pertains to our class.

For Students
Create digital portfolios to showcase student work. Collaborate with others on group projects. Share specific classroom applications or benefits.
