What is an i3?

i3 stands for Innovation in Instruction.

An i3 is a digital leader on their campus who helps teachers use technology in smart, effective, and engaging ways. They aren’t IT support — they’re classroom educators who share tips, tools, and ideas to help others bring learning to life with tech. i3s participate in ongoing professional development, share resources, and support their colleagues through collaboration and modeling.

In short: i3s grow innovation by helping their campus use technology for student success.

Why are i3s sharing blog posts or videos on tech tools?

One of the core goals of the i3 program is to build a culture of shared learning. By creating blog posts, videos or podcasts, i3s spotlight tools and strategies that have worked in their own classrooms — making it easier for others to try something new without starting from scratch.

These posts help spread best practices across campuses, celebrate creative teaching, and empower educators to explore tech with confidence. It’s about sharing what works, inspiring new ideas, and supporting each other through storytelling.
