Integrating technology into our classroom is now easier than ever. Adobe Express can bring images to life using AI generative tools. This technology will empower educators and students to create and engage effectively. This blogpost will explain how to use Adobe Express to generate images using AI and how you can implement it in your classroom.

What is Adobe Express?

Adobe Express is a design tool that allows seamless content creation. It is user friendly, offers templates, AI powered tools, and opportunities for collaboration.

Why Use It in Education?

One way to use Adobe Express is to utilize the feature for generating AI images. Generating images is a way for students to express their creativity. AI can assist students by taking their words and ideas and making them into visuals.

Let’s get started

You can find Adobe Express under Staff Apps. If you have signed in before, your next image should be the home page of Adobe Express. Otherwise, make sure to select your staff google account. Below is what the home page looks like.

Software interface displaying AI-generated fairy-tale houses, vibrant buttons for creating videos, graphics, and more. Text reads "Create beautiful images with AI."

Notice the tool bar on the left, where you can quickly access quick actions, your files, classrooms, templates and more. Templates are a great way to get started. Adobe Express has many that you can look through. You can filter down your criteria by subject, grade level and project type.

Teachers can also create their own templates. For example, in Pre-K we teach a unit on animals. One way I have utilized AI to generate images is by allowing students to create their own unique animals.

Below is a student creation. This student was given a prompt to use descriptive language to create their own unique image. This is a great example of using knowledge that the student already has about animals and extending their knowledge in a creative way.

Rainbow-colored rabbit with a unicorn horn sits joyfully against a vibrant sky featuring rainbows and stars.

This is a simple example of how to generate an image with AI in Adobe Express. There are many more features to learn about such as: removing a background, text effects, elements, and generative fill. You can use this AI tool for projects with vocabulary, sight words, or summarizing a book or lesson.

Implementing Adobe Express into your lessons can make words come to life. Explore the possibilities, and you will see the visual impact.
